About

Amber Glancy is a comedian and actress whose work spans from the screen to the stage. Born in Northern California and bred in Santa Barbara (hello wine), she is currently based in Los Angeles.

You can find Amber performing in live comedy variety and character/clown shows around Los Angeles. She returned from Edinburgh in August 2022 having completed a run of her hourlong solo clown show, WINE SHOW, which was highly reviewed. Her live one woman shows have debuted at the Elysian theater as well as the Lyric Hyperion Theater.

Onscreen Amber was featured in a Funny or Die sketch, a parody trailer for the movie Yesterday titled, What If No One Heard Of Jerry Seinfeld?

In 2020 Amber’s comedy micro short film I CAN’T RELATE, which she starred in, wrote, and produced, won Best Ensemble at the LA Under The Stars Film Festival. I CAN’T RELATE was also a finalist for the Austin Comedy FF, Indie Short Fest, and an official selection for the Portland Comedy FF.

From 2014-2017 Amber trained and performed at iO West, graduating from both the Improv and Sketch Comedy Writing programs. Her other training includes Second City, The Pack Theater, The Idiot Workshop, and a Minor in Theater from the UCSD Undergraduate Program. Her traditional theater training primarily focuses on Viewpoints.

When Amber first moved to Los Angeles she was accepted into the NBC Page program, which lead to an executive assistant position at Wolf Films. When her boss branched off to establish Acoustic Productions, an independent production company with a first-look at UTV, Amber avidly joined to learn another facet of the television industry from a producer’s lens. During her time at Acoustic, Amber brought in projects created by the Tin Can Brothers for which she was attached as a producer and successfully setup pitches at Netflix, Snap!, and SyFy’s animated streaming platform, TzGz.
